Palm Beach Day Academy is committed to keeping pace with the latest technological developments and creating a 21st century learning environment by wisely investing in advances that are most useful to our faculty and students.

Every classroom on both the Lower and Upper Campus is currently equipped with either SmartBoards or Flat Screen technology allowing enhanced interactive instruction for students.  Teachers using both laptops and tablets and attend frequent faculty-led "Appy Hours" to use these devices to their fullest.  Starting last year, all Upper Campus students were able to access our wireless network with their personal devices (laptops, netbooks, tablets, smart phones, etc) during the school day. With classroom teacher approval, students were able use their own devices to access the internet and collaborate with other students.

Computer labs throughout the school continue to be updated and we are now incorporating the use of 3D printers, science-based Vernier hardware and software, and other technology.

Last year Grades K through 4 were given a classroom set of iPads while the Upper Campus piloted a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy.  Starting in the fall of 2016, BYOD will be mandatory in grades 6 through 9.  By allowing students to use their own technology on campus we are hoping to increase the access all students have to the technology they need to succeed.  We believe equitable access to technology will aid our students in becoming information producers rather than information consumers as well as self-directed learners and collaborative team players.
