Achieve more athletically.
At Palm Beach Day Academy, we value sportsmanship as much as scholarship, because the playing field is a classroom where children develop character, practice teamwork and learn how to win and lose gracefully.
Like our teachers, our coaches encourage individual accomplishments achieved by a solid effort and with a positive attitude.
Students in 4th grade participate in a traditional physical education class that exposes them to various sports. Our fifth graders face each other in spirited intrascholastic contests, and interscholastic team competitions begin in 6th grade.
Students in grades seven through nine are invited to try out for junior varsity and varsity teams. At PBDA, girls compete in volleyball, basketball, soccer, field hockey, tennis and lacrosse, while boys compete in flag football, soccer, basketball, golf, tennis and lacrosse.
Some student-athletes show a passion for a sport that PBDA does not offer. Those students may participate in our “opt-out” program with approval from the Athletic Director and Head of Upper School so they can dedicate time to outside instruction.
