The Palm Beach Day Academy PBDA On Topic on Thursday, April 16 has been CANCELED.

Hayley Schapiro, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and New York, for a discussion on fostering positive thinking and healthy self-esteem in children. As Schapiro explores how our children celebrate successes and navigate obstacles that influence self-esteem, she will share with parents the actionable tools to improve positive thinking and discourage negative self-talk.

In an effort to keep the PBDA parent community informed of current trends in learning, psychology, technology and more, the PBDA On Topic parenting series invites both current and prospective families, as well as members of the Palm Beach County community, for a morning of discussion and continued education. The events are free and open to the community.

Hayley C. Schapiro Bio

Hayley C. Schapiro, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and New York. Hayley graduated from Columbia University with a Masters in Clinical School-based Supports and Services. Her expertise is individual psychotherapy, case consult, and evaluation. Hayley worked as a clinician for a large hospital network in New York City. There she provided diagnostic clarity for families and facilitated their transition to community based services. Hayley was trained in administering assessments at New York Presbyterian Hospital: Center for Autism and the Developing Brain. Prior, Hayley worked in multiple school based environments both public and private programs, where she provided mental health support, crisis intervention, and group/family counseling.
