Achieve more by giving back.
PBDA students are “blessed by the sun and kissed by the rain,” as our school song says, but they share their blessings with others. Our school contributes thousands of hours of service to the community annually.
Bulldog Outreach, our community-service program, provides genuine assistance to people in need and gives students a way to acquire the service hours required for admission to many secondary schools.
More importantly, Bulldog Outreach gives students a firsthand understanding that they have a responsibility to make positive contributions to their community. By emphasizing personal service over fund-raising or simple donations, Bulldog Outreach exposes children to the challenges faced by some children in Florida.
On Lower Campus, students conduct drives for used books, used clothing and used Halloween costumes. They participate in a read-a-thon to buy sneakers for children of migrant workers, with whom they eat breakfast at E.R. Bradley’s twice a year.
By the time PBDA students graduate, they’ve made substantial contributions to their community and experienced the satisfaction of service.
