PBDA’s 5th Annual Fall Family Social at The Esplanade
Posted on: October 14, 2019
On the weekend evening of October 12, more than 400 PBDA parents and children descended upon The Esplanade, located at the top of the island’s beloved shopping street at 150 Worth, for two hours of games and socializing. The lively evening was a fitting way to continue the positive momentum of the school year under the new leadership of Mr. Fanning M. Hearon III, the independent school’s fourteenth Head of School. As one of the only times throughout the school year at Palm Beach Day Academy where families across both campuses have the opportunity to come together as one, the fall Social has become a highly-anticipated mainstay in the PBDA school culture in recent years.
With a line-up that had something for attendees of all ages, activities at the fall fête – sponsored by The Esplanade – included a braid bar, an interactive photo booth, a slime station courtesy of High Touch High Tech, and a tie-dye station with Rhythm & Hues, all to the soundtrack of DJ Turn Up. Drinks and light bites were provided by Hai House, BrownBag Popcorn Company, Bird in the Hand, and Rocco’s Tacos.
“The Fall Family Social has become a fall highlight that our families and faculty look forward to each year. We pride ourselves on being a family school and evenings like this put that on display even more so,” said Fanning M. Hearon III, Head of School at PBDA. “It’s an incredible sight to see our older students engage with the younger ones, parents connect with friends, and our teachers from all grades gathered together off campus. We’re so grateful for the generous sponsorship of The Esplanade for hosting our community in such a legendary spot and enabling these connections to take place.”
This is the fifth year that Palm Beach Day Academy has organized a fall family party for parents, students and teachers to kick-off the school year and thank the community for their generous support and commitment to the school.
