PBDA Contact Guide
For questions big and small, we strive to make it easy for our parents to know who to turn to.
Lower Campus
The best point person for each grade will be your child’s classroom teacher. From there, please don’t hesitate to contact your Grade Coordinator with any questions or concerns. The Lower Campus Head of School, Martha Bjorklund, is always available to speak with parents as well.

The Third Grade “Pod”
Third Grade students begin to prepare for their transition to the Upper Campus by collaboratively working together on various projects within the Third Grade “pod.” The model, which is simulated after the Fourth Grade model, helps set up the students for success and a seamless transition to the Upper Campus.
Upper Campus
Grade 4 Homeroom
Unique to Grade 4 is the PBDA Homeroom system. Students have their homeroom teacher during the first two periods of the day. The Homeroom teacher is a great resource for parents who have any questions or concerns.
Grades 5 – 9 Advisory System
PBDA advisors advocate for, counsel and mentor students, and act as a liaison between the Upper Campus student, teachers and family, assisting them in academic and social concerns.
The School Counselor
The School Counselor, Deena Sobel, is a member of the Student Success Team and is a resource for teachers, parents, and students on both campuses.
